What a feeling… to finally get to announce one of your WISH LIST guests is coming to Summer Con. Please welcome Jennifer Beals as THE FINAL guest in the massive Washington State Summer Con lineup happening in Puyallup from June 21st through the 23rd.Jennifer made her film debut in My Bodyguard, before receiving critical acclaim for her performance as Alexandra Owens in Flashdance, for which she won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture and was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical.
Beals has appeared in several films including Vampire’s Kiss, Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle, Devil in a Blue Dress, The Last Days of Disco, Roger Dodger, The Book of Eli, Before I Fall, and Luckiest Girl Alive.
On television, she starred in shows such as The Chicago Code, Proof, and Taken. Her portrayal of Bette Porter on the Showtime drama series The L Word earned her a nomination for the Satellite Award for Best Actress – Television Series Drama. She reprised her role as Bette Porter and served as an executive producer on the sequel series The L Word: Generation Q.
Actor and producer Jennifer Beals recently starred as “Garsa Fwip” in Disney+’s mega-hit, THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT where she dons the Twi’lek tentacles and runs a cantina in Mos Espa. On the feature side, Jennifer’s recent credits include Luckiest Girl Alive which premiered on Netflix in 2022 as the number one most-streamed film on the platform that month.
