
James Saito has been in so many of your favorite movies and television shows. He is known for his physical portrayal of Shredder in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) and Dr. Frank Chen in Eli Stone (2008), Saito has built a diverse portfolio.
His film credits include Life of Pi (2012), Big Eyes (2014), While We’re Young (2014), The Devil’s Advocate (1997), Home Alone 3 (1997), Pearl Harbor (2001), Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), and Netflix’s Always Be My Maybe (2019) and Love Hard (2021).
On television, he has appeared in MASH*, Law & Order, Sex and the City, Hawaii Five-0, House of Cards, Altered Carbon, The Terror, Modern Love, Grey’s Anatomy, and The Company You Keep. Saito’s stage work is equally notable, with Broadway roles in The King and I (1997) and Golden Child (1998), and Off-Broadway performances in The Oldest Boy (2014) and Durango (2007), earning an Obie Award for the latter.
