
Whoa! We have, not one, but two members of HYDRA heading to Puyallup. Please welcome Frank Grillo to the Washington State Summer Con lineup from June 20th through the 22nd.
Comic Book fans know Frank for his portrayal of Brock Rumlow in three films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and his upcoming roles of Rick Flag Sr. in the new Superman and Peacemaker season.
Frank Grillo is an actor renowned for his tough-guy roles in film and television. His acting career began with commercials for American Express and Miller Genuine Draft, leading to his film debut in The Mambo Kings (1992). Early roles included Minority Report (2002) and Pride and Glory (2008). Grillo’s breakout came in 2010 with Mother’s Day and as MMA trainer Frank Campana in Warrior (2011). In 2012, he starred in The Grey with Liam Neeson, End of Watch as Sarge, and Zero Dark Thirty.
Grillo gained global recognition as Brock Rumlow/Crossbones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). He voiced Brock in Marvel’s What If…? in four episodes. He led The Purge: Anarchy (2014) and The Purge: Election Year (2016) as Sergeant Leo Barnes. Other notable films include Wolf Warrior 2 (2017), Wheelman (2017), Boss Level (2021), and Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard (2021).
On television, Grillo played Bill Bevilaqua in the Paramount+ hit series Tulsa King (2024), Nick Savrinn in Prison Break (2005-2006), Alvey Kulina in Kingdom (2014-2017), and had recurring roles in The Shield (2002-2003) and Billions (2020). In 2024, he voiced Rick Flag Sr. in Creature Commandos and portrayed him in Superman and Peacemaker Season 2 for the DC Universe. Grillo’s rugged charm and martial arts skills continue to define his action-packed career.
