Naruto fans! How about a SUPER rare appearance from Mr. Dave Wittenberg? Please welcome the voice of Kakashi Hatake to the anime lineup at the Washington State Summer Con in Puyallup happening from June 21st through the 23rd.
Dave Wittenberg is a South African voice actor who is known for providing voices in video games and anime with nearly 100 titles to his credit. Some of those credits include Kakashi Hatake, the 6th Hokage in Naruto, Michael Lee in Witch Hunter Robin, Takumi Fujiwara in the Tokyopop dub of Initial D, Lang Rangler in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, the tamer Henry Wong and countless digimon in Digimon, and Lee Sampson in Cowboy Bebop: The Movie. He is also an adaptive scriptwriter for English dubs of anime whose work includes episodes of Digimon.
Wittenberg is the voice for Amodar in Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2, Yazoo in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, and Kefka Palazzo in Dissidia Final Fantasy and Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy.
In video games, he voices Trigger Happy from the Skylanders series, Mad Doctor from Epic Mickey, and Buddy Alexander from Resident Evil: Damnation. In addition to continuing his role as Sora in the .hack games, he can be heard in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, 3, and 4, Xenosaga Episode I, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds, Metal of Honor: Rising Sun, and Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. For Disney, he voiced The Mad Doctor in Epic Mickey, Reuben in the English dub of Stitch!, Time Baby and Lolph in Gravity Falls, Bash Johnson in Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, Thackery Earwicket in the Alice in Wonderland video game, and provided additional voices in The Replacements, Cars 2: The Video Game.
