Please welcome Barry Gordon to Puyallup for the Washington State Summer Con from June 20th through the 22nd. Cam was the original voice of Donatello in the animated series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

As a voice actor, Barry Gordon is renowned for voicing Donatello and Bebop in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987–96) and Jake “Razor” Clawson in SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron (1993–94). Other voice roles include Jabberjaw, The Smurfs, Pac-Man, Darkwing Duck, Batman: The Animated Series, and the Nesquik Bunny. Gordon’s extensive work in animation and live-action, combined with his Screen Actors Guild presidency (1988–95), cements his legacy as a multifaceted talent in entertainment.

Barry Gordon’s career spans six decades. Beginning at age three, Gordon debuted on Ted Mack’s Amateur Hour, singing Johnnie Ray’s “Cry” and earning second place. At six, he recorded the holiday hit “Nuttin’ for Christmas,” becoming the youngest performer to reach the Billboard Top 10, with over two million copies sold. His early television appearances included The Jack Benny Program, Leave It to Beaver (as Chopper in “Beaver’s House Guest”), Alfred Hitchcock Presents, and The Danny Thomas Show.

At 13, Gordon earned a Tony Award nomination for his Broadway role as Nick in A Thousand Clowns (1962–63), reprising the part in the 1965 Oscar-nominated film alongside Jason Robards. His film credits include The Girl Can’t Help It (1956), Cinderfella (1960), Pressure Point (1962), The Spirit Is Willing (1967), Love at First Bite (1979), and Body Slam (1986). On television, Gordon shone as Dennis Whitehead in The New Dick Van Dyke Show (1973–74), Charlie Harrison in Fish (1977–78), and Gary Rabinowitz in Archie Bunker’s Place (1981–83). He also guest-starred on Mannix, Kolchak: The Night Stalker, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (as Nava), Star Trek: Voyager (as Ardon Broht), and Curb Your Enthusiasm (as a Rabbi).
