
Alicia Hannah-Kim is a Korean actress born in Australia who began her acting career at the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) before making her television debut in 2003.
Hannah-Kim’s U.S. television debut came with a recurring role as Shin on the Starz series Crash (2008-2009), co-starring Dennis Hopper. She gained further recognition with guest appearances on popular shows, including Grey’s Anatomy (2009) as Jasmine, a compassionate friend in a tragic storyline, and Two and a Half Men (2010). Her versatility shone in roles on Hot in Cleveland (2011), Supah Ninjas (2011) as Veronica, Chasing Life (2014), Hawaii Five-0 (2015), and General Hospital (2014) as Nurse Vesper Green. She also recurred as Vivian in Freeform’s Alone Together (2018).
In the 2020s, Hannah-Kim portrayed feminist author Wendy Mah in HBO Max’s Minx (2022), showcasing her comedic and dramatic range. Her breakout role came as the formidable Sensei Kim Da-Eun in Netflix’s Cobra Kai (Seasons 5 and 6, 2022-2025), the first female sensei in the Karate Kid universe, earning praise for her layered performance. She recently wrapped filming for Disney+/Hulu’s Korean spy drama Tempest (2025), joining an international cast.
