Charles Fleischer is an actor, comedian, and musician known for his career on screen and voice work. He career first kicked off with with his recurring role as Carvelli on the hit 1970s sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter. His breakthrough in film came with the groundbreaking 1988 live-action and animated masterpiece Who Framed Roger Rabbit, where Charles voiced the zany Roger Rabbit, along with Benny the Cab, Greasy, and Psycho.
Fleischer’s acting credits include the horror classic A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) as Dr. King and Terry in Back to the Future Part II (1989). His credits also include films like Zodiac (2007), The Polar Express (2004, voicing the Elf General), Rango (2011, as Elbows), and Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022). He also voiced characters in We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story and the Balto sequels.
As a talented singer and musician, Fleischer contributed memorable vocal performances to the Who Framed Roger Rabbit soundtrack, including “Why Don’t You Do Right?” and Roger’s signature song “The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down.” His musical career extends to songwriting, solo albums, and musical guest appearances.
